Wall tile is where a tile setter's skill is most visible. Cuts at outlets, end-pieces against cabinets, miters at corners, and grout lines at the ceiling all read at eye level - there's nowhere to hide a sloppy job. We start by checking the wall for plumb and flat - a 1/8" bow over 4 feet means tile will telegraph the wave. We add backer board or skim-coat as needed, then dry-lay the pattern to confirm cuts land in symmetrical places (centered over the range, balanced at corners).

Showers get a full waterproofing membrane behind the tile, niches are framed and waterproofed before tile goes up, and every cut at an outlet or fixture is hand-trimmed to fit snugly behind the cover plate.
